Int. FIS Grasski Children Camp

July  24th – 28th 2017

Summer time is skiing time – thats true at Schizentrum Rettenbach (Austria) for years already, but especially for this year. From July  24th – 28th 2017 the international FIS Grasski Children Camp takes place here.

Südburgenland (the south-eastern Region of Austria) is THE venue for international grasski races for 17 years now. The first races in 1996 took place in the spa town of Bad Tatzmannsdorf, since 2000 all events take place in Rettenbach, a district of Bernstein. Rettenbach is the only Austrian training center allowing training sessions during the whole year.

Grasskiing is not just the little brother of alpine winter sports, but also offers a great opportunity for ambitious talents to stay active during summer. Due to the shorter design and the missing edges (no sliding or „drifting“ possible), grasskies require more precise turns. Therefore grasskiing is predestinated for getting fine-tuned for the upcoming winter season, especially in terms of posture and technique.

Training with national team coaches
In addition to daily sports and training sessions at the slope in Rettenbach (World Championship proofed), there will be 2 races counting for FIS Grasski Children Cup on Thursday and Friday. To give variety, the natural pool in Bernstein will be visited and a summer curling session will be held at the course of the ASKÖ ESV Tauchen.
